Gaise Baba (Akinade Ibuoye) is an Afrogospel Artiste and Culture Architect, shaping the intersection of music, culture, business, and social engineering. With a unique ability to blend Yoruba Language, English, and Pidgin English in his music, he has built a movement that leverages the power of art for social impact, youth empowerment, and cultural transformation. He holds a degree in Economics, as well as a diploma in Music Business from Berklee College of Music.

Gaise Baba’s work however transcends music; he is the Founder of social impact platforms that serve youth communities in his home country. Some of these include LightOut, a high school teenage advocacy initiative that curates music concerts for youth campaigns centered around climate action, drug use, cybercrime, abstinence and the overall development of values in students within underserved communities. LightOut Initiative has organized 24 impact concerts across high schools and colleges in Lagos State, Ogun State and the Federal Capital Territory – Abuja, reaching over 33,000 teenage and pre-teen students.

His partnerships with diplomatic institutions like the German and Netherlands Consulates in Lagos, cultural organizations like the British Council, government parastatals like the Lagos State Office for Climate Change & Circular Economy, and youth-driven initiatives, position him as a bridge between music, culture and policy.

He is also the founder of ARAMANDA – an Afro-Urban Music and Arts Festival that connects young Africans with alternative Christian sounds, genres and expressions. To date, the festival has hosted six editions within the Lagos and Abuja metropolises.

In March 2024, Gaise Baba launched Black Flame – a culture shaping podcast that tells powerful stories with a focus on upwardly mobile young people of African descent.

In summer 2024, Gaise Baba embarked on his international debut: a 6-week tour of the United Kingdom, featuring a headline show at London’s Shaw Theatre and guest performances in Leicester and Aberdeen, Scotland. He also hosted special live editions of his podcast, Black Flame, with in-person audiences in Manchester and Birmingham. During these events, he shared his insights on culture, faith, creativity, music, and innovation, while discussing new ways African creatives will engage with the global stage. This debut tour solidified his reputation as a versatile artist and culture architect, connecting with diverse audiences across multiple cities and expanding his global influence.

His May 2025 single – No Turning Back II rose meteorically to the top of charts around the world, debuting at #16 on the Billboard US Afrobeats Songs chart, peaking at #1 on YouTube Nigeria as the most viewed video in 2025, #2 on YouTube UK, #2 on YouTube CA, #2 on Shazam NG, #1 on iTunes Nigeria, #5 on Apple Music NG. #2 on YouTube GH and #3 on Spotify NG, amongst other charts.

The Culture Architect as he’s rightly described, Gaise Baba represents the new generation of African leaders who are proud of their roots while conquering global stages.
